This wavelength directly targets DNA or RNA of microorganisms like bacteria, viruses and Mold, preventing them from reproducing. The tube also emits a shorter wavelength that reacts with oxygen in the air to create ozone. Because Ozone is a gas, it can penetrate fabrics, cracks and corners that the UV light cannot reach directly.
